In support of their latest release bi/MENTAL on Rise Records, Le Butcherettes brought their raucous live show, presented by Riot Fest, to Chicago’s Cobra Lounge on February 20th .

Le Butcherettes performed a fiery set to the sold-out crowd, that simply killed! After opening with “Burn the Scab,” the band led by vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Teri Gender Bender segued into two numbers off bi/MENTAL, “spider/WAVES” and “Father/ELOHIM”.

The group, which also includes power-house drummer Alejandra Robles Luna, guitarist Rikardo Rodriguez-Lopez and bassist Marfred Rodriguez-Lopez tore through seventeen songs, including eight from bi/MENTAL.

Le Butcherettes shows are musical madness at its best! That was most evident this night during their performance of “Mr. Tolstoi” where Bender alternated vocals between piercing falsetto and a spoken word, while the band alternated the tempo from extreme highs and lows. Their show is one not to be missed!
